Just want to say a BIG THANK YOU, to this fantastic group and the events that they organise. If it wasn't for Stephen Cameron organising Bowhunter archery, my son would probably never of gone there! At the end of our time on Sunday I was approached by Liz and Lynn, both saying that Yusuf has a natural talent for archery and they invited him along to the group that Liz and her husband run. He was there last night and loved it and is looking forward to next week. He went to bed last night saying... "the rest of the world can continue to hate Mondays, but I love them now as I have my archery" Thanks again I have an extremely happy son xxx

When my son was diagnosed with autism at the age of three, it took some time to sink in. We knew very little about the condition and certainly didn’t know anyone else who had an autistic child. Joining Friends of Autism Highland was a huge relief for us. We instantly felt less isolated and got to know others in the same situation - my son absolutely loves going to all the great activities organised by the group. I can’t rate this charity highly enough.

FOAH was the first group that ever made our son feel completely welcome. It is an inclusive and understanding group of parents and carers who have both useful advice when required and a shoulder to lean on as well. Thanks to FOAH we and our son forged real friendships that are more precious than gold.

I love the fact that it's not only the kiddies in the group that have made friends but also the parents.

This group is amazing for all the help and support it has given me and my son. I have made many friends though the group. We love going to events with group as we feel accepted and not different. I honestly don't know where we would be with out Friends of Autism Highland.

Before I got involved with FOAH I felt on my own... Now I know there are lots of us who face the same challenges and triumphs! Feels great to be part of such an amazing group, my son has become much more accepting of his autism since joining and I am so grateful for the wealth of combined knowledge of our members... Thanks FOAH!!!

Very supportive group - always someone to help you when ever you need that unknown question answered. Amazing group and I appreciate everything they do.

My son got diagnosed yesterday at The Pines - just wanted to say thanks for all your help and advice at the very start of the diagnosis journey.

When we received our diagnosis we felt quite alone, as we were now on a different journey to all our friends bringing up their children. We were told about the group from a lady standing in for the health visitor. I was really nervous joining as it was all so new and I didn't really know what to expect. I can honestly say it's the best thing we ever done. The group has been the biggest support as it is other parents and we are all learning and supporting each other through our beautiful children's journeys together. I have made real friends and my wee boy gets to experience things in a safe and understanding environment. It opens up so many more opportunities as we feel supported as a family to attend things that we would otherwise be anxious to do. Great group run by great people and filled with amazing and inspirational families.
